I sat down next to Brad, clutching the books in my hands like they were glass shards. "Hi." I looked over at his amused face, and then quickly turned away, embarrassed.

"Um, hi?" Brad said cockily, turning away from me a bit, glancing over the top of my head to look at the three girls, especially the one who tripped me. He smiled, then shook his head, ruffling his thick brown hair. He was obviously Australian from the tan he had. He was gorgeous.

Everything was relatively quiet until I felt a paper being flung at me from behind. I felt my head under I reached my hoodie, where pointy tip of the paper airplane pricked into my finger. I picked it up and placed it on my desk. On the wing it said read. It read :

Bitch, do you really think you're going to last here? Think again.
-F.F.G.

Who is that? I wondered to myself. No one with those initials is in this class, I'm almost positive of that.

I looked around the small classroom, annoyed, but I didn't see anyone staring at me until my eyes locked with Fiona's. She was giving me death glares and it was only the first day. Why did she even hate me to begin with? The other two girls were chattering about some perfume they bought from Chanel 5, and a second later, Fiona flipped her head around to face them and ignored me like I wasn't there. She pressed her elbow onto the brown wooden desk, laughing at whatever her friends were saying to her. Goldie smirked, and flipped her blonde hair across her shoulders, playfully tapping Fae and Fiona on the wrists, giggling something about a party while her parents were away. Fae just nodded, her eyes looking a little bit lost and they trailed over to mine. She gave me a sympathetic look, and I wondered why she would. Then as soon as she did it, she snapped back to Goldie as she rambled on about how nice Fiona's hair would look in ringlet curls.

Before I knew it, their voices were in whispers as the bell rang and I gathered up my supplies. I hadn't paid attention to what the teacher was saying at all, because I was so focused on those girl's conversation. Usually I was a quick and smart learner, but today I was just off my game. The Asian teacher beckoned me towards him as soon as it rang. I walked over to him, nervous on what he'd say. His expression looked irritated and stony, so I was cautious. I glanced at the light green walls of the glass, and the chalkboard, trying not to meet his eyes. The tips of my fingers were shaking in nervousness at the thought of being in trouble.

"Miss, I don't allow notes to be passed in my class. I understand this was your first day, but if this behavior continues, I'm afraid I will have to give you a detention slip. Now have a pleasant day." I fast-walked out of the classroom, rolling my eyes behind his back. I knew better then to back-talk him. He didn't look like he was kidding. The cream tiled floors of the hallways and the dark blue ceiling were not comfortable, and my stomach shook with the thought something was not right.

I headed over towards my green locker, where the happy-go-lucky girl, Maya, was waiting for me. "How was your class?" She neighed like a horse would, skipping around me joyously.

"Okay I guess, thanks..." I muttered under my breath.

"You should hang out with me and my friend Lily sometime." She said cheerily.

I just nodded vaguely and turned away. As I saw my locker, I gasped. In bold red spray paint were the letters: L O S E R. I closed my eyes and exhaled. It'll be okay, I told myself, but I knew it wouldn't be. I spun the orange, rusty dial and dropped off my books before heading towards the gymnasium.
